New Jersey Wedding - Maha & Omar at The Gramercy at Lakeside Manor and Allaire State Park

Young Love Never Looked So Good!!!

When I was first contacted by Maha & Omar to photograph their spring wedding at The Gramercy Lakeside Manor in Hazlet, New Jersey, I immediately knew that this would be special.
I know, I know...that's what everyone says....but have you seen these photos?

Have you seen how happy they are together?
Have you seen Maha's poised and timeless beauty?
Have you seen Omar's youthful, playful enthusiasm?
Have you seen the vibrancy of the bridesmaids' dresses?

We initially met for our consult at Cafe Paris in Metuchen. From the instant we met, Maha knew I was the photographer for her. She brought images along to share with me for inspiration, and we just clicked.

One of the aspects that she loved about my work was how I incorporate landscape and environmental aspects into my images whenever possible.
So, whether it was the old houses at Allaire, or the grand chandeliers and staircases at The Gramercy, we knew we would create something epic together.

A big highlight for me that day was the Zaffa and Cane Dance. In Arab culture, the zaffa (Arabic: زفـّـة‎‎ / ALA-LC: zaffah), or wedding march, is a musical procession of drums and other musical instruments, dancers, men with swords, and more. This announces that the marriage is about to begin in such a festive way. Witnessing (and photographing it) was a real treat!

The day went by so fast. From the minute we met for portraits at Allaire, to the sparkler exit at the end of the night at The Gramercy, the day was full of reflection, warmth, blessings, happiness, and love.

Maha & Omar, I thank you, and I wish you many years of continued love, growth, and prosperity.

Lastly, thank you to my lighting and photography assistants David & Renee, who both have an image or two here in the blog. They helped make this day the success that it was!

Care to see what Maha herself had to say about her photos?
"I had the pleasure of having Daniel photograph one of the most important events of my entire life. Every moment of my wedding was captured with amazing poise, talent, and elegance, and every photo that I look at now brings back fond memories of that special day. Daniel was incredible to work with, and did his absolute best to make every moment of that day memorable. I recommend Daniel to anyone who's looking for a wedding photographer - you won't regret it!" - Maha Zayed
