Chelsea Sun Inn Wedding

this autumn wedding at
Chelsea Sun Inn in Mt. Bethel PA.
was full of Cat socks,
an epic trash the dress jump in the pool and more!

How did you meet?
Freshman year of college we were on different floors of the same dorm. I was in the lobby ranting about some girl when Tristan inserted himself into the conversation to plot this girl's demise.

How did you get engaged?
I told him I needed to be married by the time I was 26. That's when I would be off my dad's health insurance and need to be on his. We had been looking at rings for a while, and happened to find one that "Mercedes didn't instantly complain about" if you ask Tristan while in Key West on a family vacation. He went back later that day to purchase it. It was ready to go the day after that and he went with my dad to get it. He proposed that afternoon.

Description of your gown?
Why was this “the one”? Simple, actually was just an ivory bridesmaid dress. The best part it was $46 in the clearance section!

Any advice for other brides? Grooms?
Don't sweat the small stuff because things always go wrong. I promise you will walk away having enjoyed yourself and your new spouse more than you expected.

How did you find out about me? What was it about me and my services that told you I was the one?
My Mom (who’s also a wedding photographer)! We loved our meeting with you, your vibe, your work and knew that you would be a great fit for us.

Photog Mom Approved…That says it all!

How has your relationship grown over the years?
By learning. Be it academics, communication, animal behavior, how to drive, cooking skills, medical field, life-saving skills, likes and dislikes. But mostly about each other and how to function together.

What was your favorite moment of your wedding day?
The feeling of elation bounding up the stairs in my undies with my bridesmaids after the pool jump. Also the socially correct answer, the proud face of Tristan when he knew I was having a great day. He always knew I wanted him but had been hesitant about having a wedding. He knew that day that I actually enjoyed myself.

CHeck out the behind the scenes!

See me there laying in a puddle? Yup. It had rained that day, so it was just as wet outside the pool. Hey, I love what I do and with do ANYTHING to get the shot!

Getting Married and looking for the photographer who’ll do anything to get the shot?

What are some fun things you do together as a couple and with friends?
Mostly just hang out at parties. He was in a frat throughout college where I was the token female for years. In his hometown dork boy group, it was the same thing. In more recent years I have developed my own friend group where we tend to do more adventure-type activities.

What’s new since being married? What’s solidified/bonded/grown in your relationship since?
I would say we're closer than ever despite lots of outside influences trying to cause strife between us. The game plan now is to get a house and grow small humans!

One detail you couldn’t live without?
The happy tears during and after the ceremony from our most important people.

Capturing Emotional Moments: The Power of Storytelling

With my lens, these moments of tenderness and vulnerability become timeless. Mercedes’ tightly closed eyes, the soft whispers of reassurance, and the gentle tears streaming down all communicate a depth of emotion that words can scarcely capture. These are the moments that make a wedding day unforgettable, and they deserve to be cherished forever.

What were the details of your day (theme, colors, favors)?
Theme: cat undertone. Colors: dark purple and green. Favors: dark green match boxes (helllooo cigars!)

Moments happen and photos immortalize them

Why did you choose your venue?
They offered us a lot of freedom, sleeping arrangements, and beautiful views for a reasonably affordable price.

What was your menu, what was your cake flavor?
The menu was "winging it" that we put together. I have no idea the cake flavor but it was delicious!

Did anything go wrong?
Oh yeah. The caterer was late, we couldn't use the ceremony spot we wanted due to rain, and when the groom's father was needed for pictures he was nowhere to be found, lowkey fighting between the moms the whole weekend. In general tons of stupid drama, but our incredible bridal party handled it all

First dance song?
You Make Loving Fun by Fleetwood Mac

Where did you honeymoon?
TBD…First comes a house. Second…somewhere fun that we can come home to our house from!

Seen it. Love it. Let’s do it!
