Daniel Nydick New Jersey Food Photographer - Tacoria Mexican Street Kitchen

When I stumbled upon this New Brunswick, NJ eatery last year; I knew I'd be instantly hooked.
I was in town frequently, visiting a loved one who was spending a week in the nearby RWJ hospital.
Being blocks away from many local restaurants that cater to both the Rutgers crowd, and to adventurous eaters from all over, you have to know the competition is fierce. Tacoria is the only establishment I dined at repeatedly over during that week. To those who know me, that's saying a lot! I'm picky, I love food that that is over-the-top with exciting flavor, and I rarely eat the same types of food back-to-back.
A few months later, I was yearning for my new-found favorite Mexican 'hug from the inside'. I traveled back to New Brunswick; and this time with camera in tow.
I approached the counter, placed my order, and asked if I could take a photo of my food for an upcoming blog post. The next day, the restaurant contacted me asking if they could see what I shot. Here it is:

That photograph actually led to Tacoria to invite me to spend a day photographing their menu items, as well as behind-the-scenes photos of their prep work, all for their upcoming social media revamp.
One of the things I love about photography is that it constantly opens doors for me to meet new people and form new relationships; making my world that much bigger.
Not only is Tacoria insanely delicious, but the owners, and the employees are friendly, helpful, caring, REAL people.

I highly encourage you to show them some love...you won't regret it.
For those of you who live a little further north of the border, the second Tacoria location is opening soon in Montclair, NJ.
If you can't wait and need Tacoria RIGHT NOW, visit the original location that fashioned the passion:
Tacoria

Here are some behind the scenes shots. Can you guess how hungry you get photographing food?
