New Jersey Engagement Photos at Asbury Park Boardwalk

Believe it or not, Angela & Alex met online. Well, actually, I do believe it. It’s how I met my wife. He popped the question one cold & icy night on the Abury Park Boardwalk, so what better place to have their engagement session, #amiright ?

Starting at the beginning, sure they were up for meeting each other. Did they think anything substantial would come of it? Nah.

I think Angela can tell the rest better than I can, so I’m going to pass the mic to her. Take it away, Angela!

“On our first night meeting in person, Alex drove to my apartment to go to the local dive bar. We were both quite nervous and within the first few minutes of Alex's arrival, I blurted out the ONE thing I told myself not to talk about - my turtle collection! Alex didn’t think anything of it and was slugging down Budweiser’s to ease his anxiety. We went to the dive bar, put on some Kid Rock and Bon Jovi on the jukebox, and the rest is history!

About two years after we started officially dating, Alex popped the question on a cold February night in Asbury Park, NJ.”

Ok, I’m going to jump to the good part…

”To be honest, I was a little hangry when Alex proposed, but I really had no idea it was coming. We were driving down to Asbury to grab dinner on a Saturday night. As we were getting closer, an ice storm starts. Alex kept asking to go on the boardwalk to take a picture in our usual spot. I really tried to fight it at first because I was hungry and it was raining ice! I finally agreed to go, so we slipped all the way up the boardwalk and took a picture. The next thing I know I see a little light coming out of his pocket and it was the ring box. I was in total shock. It was a perfectly imperfect proposal, but that’s just who we are!”

Spontaneous, kick-ass, too much fun to contain…I really don’t know how they do it, because I’ve never seen such energy from two people during an engagement session. Hey guys, all I can ask is that you bring that energy to your awesome wedding day at HollyHedge Estate in Bucks County, PA.
