New Jersey Wedding at St. Lucy's, Newark and The Venetian, Garfield

One chilly Saturday morning this past February, my friend and worldwide award winning photographer  Lauren Brimhall called and asked me to second shoot a wedding with her at The Venetian, as her planned second shooter fell ill that morning. Who am I to turn down such a wonderful opportunity, right? My CanonFlashpoint, and MagMod gear was already charged and packed and ready to go. A quick shower, and I was on the road.

It's not everyday you get to photograph a wedding where the new bride and groom share a choreographed ballroom (first) dance that's accented with falling snow and shooting sparklers inside the lovely Palazzo Room at The Venetian, 546 River Dr, Garfield, NJ 07026. Well, that's exactly what I got to do.

The day started where Lauren was with the bride at her parents' house, and myself with the groom at his folks' house. Later on, we connected at St. Lucy's Church for the ceremony. After the ceremony, we made our way to The Venetian.

The Venetian...I don't know where to start. From the endless seafood stations, the snowflakes falling from the sky, the meticulously appointed decor, the attentive staff, the fireworks as the groom elegantly dipped his new bride...this is one New Jersey wedding venue I cannot wait to return to.

Thank you to Lauren for bringing me along on the first of many weddings since shot together, and thanks to The Venetian for making this couple's wedding spectacular.
